THE PLATFORM 

“The Platform” by David Desola  Thesis scenic design project. 
I've approached designing this set, with the inspiration of Omar Khayyam's poems and his point of view towards life. Khayyam’s quatrains/poems are often interpreted as reflecting a philosophy of Absurdism, which is the belief that human existence is inherently meaningless and irrational.
The Platform is an absurd play and novel that questions life and humanity. 
I started the process by setting up a mood board and sketching my idea and then I created sculptures to come up with a shape and form. Then I started 3D Modeling and Rendering of the set and Drafting and at Last, I made the physical model.
